Catechism Takeaways: Part III

Hello, and welcome to the very unofficial and unplanned launch of this blog!  Long have I looked forward to blogging again, and yet it took technical difficulties to force me to put perfectionism aside and just start posting.

If you are here from Instagram, THANK YOU for your patience with this impromptu Catechism series and the frustrations in sharing it with you.  If you are new, welcome!  In an effort to help Catholics better understand what the Church teaches vs. what misleading sources would claim it teaches, I decided to host a read-through of the Catechism through the end of the year.  After some experimentation, this is how we are doing this:

  • Each week we read 30 pages (or a designated section, if you are not in the same edition) of the Catechism, from Wednesday to Wednesday.
  • On Wednesdays I share my the top three takeaway from that section.
  • Throughout the remainder of the week, I may share further reflections from the section as posts on Instagram, which I will likely recopy here now that I have started sharing in this format.
  • You are encouraged to share your thoughts and reflections through the hashtag #catechism2020 on Instagram!  Perhaps we can even turn this into a blog hop or Link Round-Up if other Catholic bloggers would like to participate.
These are my takeaways for pages 60-90 of our third week of Catechism readings.  If you are up for it, you can also view my thoughts on pages 30-60 below, but it is a VERY long video (hence the transition to three, brief takeaways).

I will do a future post with my takeaways from the first three weeks typed up soon.  In future the takeaways will be typed with each video shared here.

I hope this blesses you in some way and would love your reflections as well!

Many updates will be happening here as I work on setting up this blog, so I thank you for bearing with this busy mom!

To God be the Glory!
